Stop scrolling! Get outdoors! Be soothed by Nature

Since my Dad passed away last Spring, I have been spending time out with my Dad’s birdwatching camera - and taking photos of flowers, leaves, sky, trees etc and I have noticed how it really makes me slow down and look, really look, at the intricate detail in the natural world.

I try to get outdoors for a walk every day - and I realy miss it when I don't. It is as important to me as my morning meditation practice, eating nutrious food, having an afternoon nap and a good night's sleep!

We could never reproduce what nature grows from the smallest seeds. And most of it, we walk past without paying any attention.

As Donna Ashworth says “The quickest route back to self, to inner peace, is bare feet on the grass, arms around trees, head in the clouds and heart in a forest. You are nature, so go home once in a while. It will bring you so much you didn’t even know you were missing.”

Another thought occurred to me - how much I NEED access to natural places - woods and beach and wide open spaces. We are not robots - we are deeply connected and affected by our surroundings. I recently deleted Facebook and Instagram off my phone - having noticed the tendency to pick up my phone and open the app for no particular reason - in a moment of ‘what next?’ On auto-pilot! I feel we are all a bit addicted and that is the point and the design - so maybe it is time to stop and notice and make a better choice… to take back our TIME - the time that is stolen by our mobile phones!

Working with the Chakras

My work is moving, shifting and evolving along the yogic path. More and more I witness the relationship between the internal world of the Chakras and our external experience of life - in my own findings and through working with clients.
